We are seeking an experienced Chief Operations and Commercial Officer (COCO) to join our senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising operations across key client-facing business areas, including Project, Programme & Portfolio Management (P3M), Cybersecurity, and Software Development.
As COCO, you will be responsible for workforce planning, client relationship management, and business development, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Lead and manage day-to-day operations across P3M, Cybersecurity, and Software business units, aligning with strategic business goals.
* Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client billable work, meeting contractual obligations.
* Drive operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Workforce Planning & Management
* Oversee workforce planning for client contracts, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
* Work with HR and department heads to maintain the right staffing levels and skillsets.
Client Relations & Business Development
* Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters, nurturing strong client relationships.
* Partner with business development teams to expand existing client accounts and explore new markets.
* Support contract negotiations to align operational capabilities with client expectations.
Financial Oversight
* Collaborate with finance teams to set and monitor operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
* Review financial performance, offering recommendations to enhance profitability and resource utilisation.
Risk & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including cybersecurity and data protection standards.
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with operations and workforce management.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
* Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for client-facing units.
* Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Commercial Strategy & Growth
* Lead the development and execution of the company’s commercial strategy to drive growth and profitability.
* Oversee revenue-generating activities, including sales, pricing strategies, and market expansion.
* Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to increase market presence.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Extensive experience in operations management within P3M, Cybersecurity, Software, or a related industry.
* Proven track record in managing large teams and complex client contracts, including workforce planning.
* Strong understanding of government/industry security clearance processes.
* Expertise in business development, client relationship management, and contract negotiations.
* Excellent financial and analytical skills with experience in budget management.
