Your Role:
As the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all new product development activities and leading a talented team of engineers. You will be responsible for managing the technology roadmap, guiding the continual improvement of existing designs, and ensuring the engineering department operates efficiently. You will also provide leadership in product development, particularly in the areas of electronics and CE standards. You will manage a diverse team of engineers covering software/firmware, hardware, testing, electronics, mechanics, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Stabilise engineering activities to ensure the successful delivery of key project commitments.
Develop strategic plans for product development activities, ensuring alignment with market and customer needs.
Provide leadership and direction to Team Leaders, the Engineering team, and the Board of Directors.
Provide hands-on project management and technical authority for product development across all stages.
Manage and mentor engineering staff to enhance performance and achieve project goals.
Oversee engineering project budgets and ensure financial discipline.Key Skills & Experience Required:
Strong operational and project management skills in a low-volume manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of timely project delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Strong leadership and development skills with a focus on high-performing teams.
Over 15 years of engineering experience with a solid understanding of electronics and technical issues.
Strong knowledge of product compliance and regulatory standards.
Experience with effective budget management and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.Why Join?
