Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackburn (Office Based) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Accounting Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 Per annum Benefits: Bonus Job Description Job Duties: Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently Verify and reconcile invoices, statements, and payments Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries Assist with month-end closing activities Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Assist with audits and provide documentation as required Required Qualifications: Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar role Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education: A relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of basic accounting principles Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP or other ERP systems Additional certifications in accounting or finance Working Conditions: Office-based role in Blackburn, Lancashire Normal working hours, Monday to Friday Potential for occasional overtime during month-end or audit periods
