PURPOSE OF ROLE
As the Contract lead, the post holder is expected to manage all aspects of the contract to ensure client and contractual requirements are met and surpassed. To manage our team and key supply partners to deliver all aspects of the TFM contract for BAU and pre/post event activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide leadership, ensuring that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
2. Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.
3. Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process are effectively implemented across both the company and subcontractors' activities and are regularly reviewed.
4. Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload and disaster recovery.
5. Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
6. Work with other Operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
7. Develop contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction, and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
8. Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy, and contractual commitments are met.
9. Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
10. Promote and maintain the core Values of the company.
11. Provide leadership and guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support, where required, to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward.
12. Deliver effective business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, and other publications, as appropriate.
13. Support the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings, hosting visits, and support to mobilisation as required on new contracts.
14. Provide a learning environment, and appropriate training and development planning. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach their full future potential.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
1. Contract Management experience from previous roles.
2. People management and development experience.
3. Demonstrable broad knowledge of building services systems via recognised certification (HND/NVQ/C&G, etc).
4. Recognised Management qualification (ILM etc.).
5. Finance and P&L ownership experience.
6. Commercial and procurement awareness.
7. Recognised Engineering certification in either Electrical or Mechanical.
8. Appreciation of all other engineering FM systems and practices.
9. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
10. GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
11. Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels.
12. Experience with computer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) building management systems (Concept or similar).
13. BMS Management and monitoring (trending, reports, and alarms).
14. Management of, and adherence to, site safe systems of work (Permitting, LOTO, etc).
Desirable:
1. Previous TFM experience, in particular cleaning and event management services.
