Job summary Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is looking for a newly qualified GP to join our friendly practice for 2 to 4 sessions per week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. We are flexible with hours/sessions required and welcome any discussion about working pattern. We also offer a generous salary for the post. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you would be supported by the senior clinicians, if required, and an accomplished admin team. We would be receptive to any special interests that the candidate may wish to pursue. Main duties of the job Undertaking face to face, telephone or video consultations, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports, and correspondence. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens). Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team. About us We are a GMS non-dispensing practice and look after approximately 10,500 patients with a growing list size. We are incredibly proud of how we provide care for our patients. We are rated as CQC Good and are a high QOF achieving practice. Working from a modern purpose-built premises, our team consists of 2 GP partners supported by 5 salaried GPs. In addition, we have other clinicians such as ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and alsoa variety of support staff from our PCN consisting of pharmacists, physiotherapists, MH practitioners and home visiting service.
