Position Summary: The Uniform Room and Seamstress Attendant is responsible for mending, repairing, and altering guest clothing and employee uniforms through hand stitching, applying adhesive patches, or using a sewing machine. This role includes distributing clean uniforms, keeping records of sent and returned laundry, recording discrepancies, informing the Head of Department, conducting quality checks before and after dry cleaning, recording any damages, and informing guests or associates before sending items for cleaning. The attendant will also manage uniform distributions and ensure compliance with safety and security policies while maintaining a professional appearance and providing excellent guest service.
Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails
1. Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or sewing machines.
2. Iron guest laundry in a short time and in high standard to meet service expectations
3. Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications.
4. Conduct quality checks before and after dry cleaning.
5. Record any damages and inform guests or associates before sending items for cleaning.
6. Keep records of sent and returned laundry.
7. Record discrepancies and inform the Head of Department.
8. Document assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned.
9. Maintain accurate records of uniform distributions and returns.
10. Anticipate and address guests’, employee’s service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner,
11. Inform guests and employees when laundry will be returned
12. Inform guests and employees when dry cleaning will be ready for pick-up or delivery.
Qualifications :
13. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
14. Sewing skills and familiarity with sewing machines.
15. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
18. Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds.
