About the Role
* Position: Finance Manager (Responsible Financial Officer)
* Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week
* Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
This vital role ensures the effective management of the Council’s financial functions, including budget preparation, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and compliance with financial regulations. You’ll work closely with the Town Clerk and provide guidance to Councillors on financial strategy and governance.
What We’re Looking For
* Accountancy qualification or FILCA.
* Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, budget management, and financial reporting.
* Experience in team management and working with organisational leaders.
* Ability to manage contracts, procurement, and investment processes.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive.
* Preferred:
o CIPFA qualified.
o Experience in local government, particularly in the town/parish sector.
