The role - Assistant Cost Manager
You will be joining a team of 19 and will enjoy working in a collaborative environment in a modern, open plan office.
You will be working on one of their most prestigious retail framework accounts, undertaking a full range of construction projects, largely fit-out and refurbishment, ranging from £50,000 to multi-million-pound works.
You will be working on fast-paced, fast turnaround projects. Office-based in the main, with client visits roughly once a week.
Job Objectives: You will assist with:
1. Establishing friendly, professional relationships with clients and being an extension of their team.
2. Subcontractor tendering and reviewing costs.
3. Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with the budget.
4. Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
5. Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
6. Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
The right person - Assistant Cost Manager
You will have some form of construction experience and 1+ years of experience working as an Assistant Cost Planner or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
