Job summary A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 2 Administrative Assistants to join our team to provide support to the Podiatry team based out of Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Tenbury. The job role will be primarily based out of Kidderminster Health Centre, however travel and occasional working at other sites may be required depending on the needs of the service. Your role will be to provide administrative and secretarial support to a team of community-based Podiatrists. You will work as part of a local administration team, with support from this network as well as having the opportunity to form close links with the wider staff across the other countywide Podiatry teams. We are looking for individuals who are self-driven, reliable, and who also work well within a team and communicates effectively. Ideally this person will be a quick learner and used to using a range of IT equipment. Experience in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary, and previous use of patient record keeping systems such as Carenotes or Rio would be highly beneficial. There are 2 roles available: 1x 30 hours, worked over 4 or 5 days. 1x 23 hours, worked over 3 or 4 days. We are able to consider flexible working hours to fit with individual needs as long as these meet the requirements of the Service requests for this should be discussed at interview. Main duties of the job A typical day will involve collecting and processing incoming and outgoing mail; responding to emails in a timely manner; answering the phone to patients, carers and colleagues; processing referrals; creating appointments for the clinical team; ordering and maintaining stock and supplies, and general administrative duties to support the clinical team. This post includes a variety of jobs from booking appointments, answering patient calls and queries, to inputting referrals and processing emails as well as processing orders and completing day to day office administration to support the clinical team. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy team. You will work independently under the guidance of the senior administrator and form close links with the wider admin staff across the community podiatry teams. Occasional travel to other sites will be required, therefore having access to a car/transport is necessary.
