Your role and responsibilities We are looking for an applicant to join our friendly, supportive and highly-skilled team, to help us continue to deliver the Music Service's core aim of enabling all children and young people to learn to sing, play an instrument and create music together, and have the opportunity to progress their musical interests and talents, including professionally. This is a great time to join the team as we are poised to implement an advanced new Customer Relationship Management system, which will mean that you will gain the experience of learning and working with an advanced new software product, that will revolutionize the way the Music Service both offers and delivers services. You will: invoice and journal a range of stakeholders including schools and individuals, for services delivered track income and ensure detailed and accurate financial records are kept obtain quotations for equipment and services and arranging ordering and payment for these be a part of a team that coordinates events or activities prepare for and complete the ‘end of financial year’ process, with support from other team members both leading and supporting the development and implementation of new administrative systems. You will need: experience in successfully carrying out specialist administrative and financial procedures previous experience of managing budgets and/or financial information working knowledge of Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. The hub receives funding from the Department for Education to deliver the 3 aims and 5 strategic functions of the National Plan for Music Education, where the vision is: Suffolk County Music Service teaches more than 5500 students each year from beginner to diploma standards. In addition to teaching in schools, our tutors coach ensembles in four area music centres and at the highest-level work with our County Ensembles: Suffolk Youth Orchestra, Suffolk Youth Wind Orchestra, Suffolk Young Strings and Suffolk Youth Jazz Orchestra. The role may also include the opportunity to work in support of front-line service activities including attendance at major concerts and events, residential courses, and foreign tours.
