Warehouse Manager - Chesterfield Reporting to the Regional Head of Logistics, the Warehouse Manager will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of their warehouse, including order fulfilment, goods in, put-away, let-down, picking, dispatch and returns sortation. During the early stages of establishing our footprint for the Chesterfield site, we will operate a single shift set up moving to 2 shift operation in the long term. Additional duties will also include: Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with CHHs policies and vision Set up Warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Adhere to all warehousing, handling and distribution legislation requirements Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results Essential skills and attributes MUST have proven experience as a Warehouse Manager coupled with strong knowledge of Warehousing KPIs Line management experience and can evidence record of developing team members Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Leadership skills and ability to manage and develop staff IT literate in particular spreadsheets - with a knowledge of warehouse systems Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality Good planning, problem solving and decision making skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines
