Storeman / Kitchen Porter (48 weeks)

Salary: £13.50 per hour
A mixed private school for both boarding and day pupils. Situated in Bath, Somerset. Catering for 750 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper and evening snack. This is a term-time plus contract, working 48 weeks. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern would be 5 out of 7. Additional benefit of this location is free on-site parking.
We are looking for a talented Storeman / Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Bath.
You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Storeman / Kitchen Porter.
You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Key responsibilities:
* To work well in a team, providing food and a great service.
* To control every aspect of stock from the delivery to clean, well-organised storage areas of all items received.
* Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
* Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
* Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Great team player.
* Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep.
You will have the following skills:

Knowledge / competencies:
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Similar experience of customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
