Please note: This is a part-time permanent role, working 22.5 hours per week on Wednesday from 08:00 to 16:30, Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday from 08:00 to 15:00. What our Occupational Health Advisors do You will become the 4th member of our Health and Wellbeing Service, a welcoming, compassionate, and supportive team providing the highest quality of service. You will be providing professional occupational health advisory services for our employees. As part of this OH nurse-led team, you will: Undertake and be responsible for a range of case management work Offer the full remit of OH services including health screenings, health surveillance programs, night worker and skin assessments, return to work assessments, and referral appointments Support Health & Safety with onsite individual workplace assessments Write clear and concise reports Provide very occasional out-of-hours support (likely a couple of times annually) Be flexible and supportive of a range of ongoing projects, deliver training, and manage health promotion programs What you will need Essential To be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC ) Registration on part one of the register Ideally hold a qualification in Occupational Health Nursing or 2 years OH experience A good knowledge of health and safety law and equal opportunities legislation Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective and inclusive working relationships with colleagues at all levels Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to write reports, input data, and draft correspondence to a high professional standard Beneficial Prior experience in delivering Occupational Health Services within large and complex organizations To be NMC registered on Part 3 of the NMC register Specific experience with mental health support would be advantageous Qualification or experience in delivering health and safety training programs Why work for us?
