We are seeking to appoint a Band 7 Sister/ Charge Nurse to join our Emergency Department who acts as a role model to staff, has a thirst for improving quality and an ability to motivate a team to continually strive to put patients first and deliver excellent care.
The successful candidate will work within a team of existing Band 7 Sisters covering 24hrs 7 days a week. Each Band 7 leads and is responsible for their own team of staff providing support, clinical supervision and empowering each one of them to be the best they can be.
You will be the driver for providing high quality, safe care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
1. Will have continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care establishing evidence based practice.
2. Responsible for the delivery of advanced nursing skills within complex patient care pathways.
3. Leads the clinical team by delegating work to junior staff.
4. Leads the management of the department in the development of care systems, protocols and guidelines.
5. Responsible for the teaching, mentoring and assessment of students, trainees and professional staff, promoting a learning culture.
6. This post is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for specialised nursing skills and leadership competencies promoting the effective and economical use of available resources and facilitates delivery of a budgetary balance.
7. The job holder is accountable for own actions without direct supervision and accountable for the actions of unqualified members of staff.
8. Responsibility for coordinating the whole of AED.
