We have an opportunity for a Practice Based Educator join their team of staff in the Nursing department. This is a Part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: Plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes to support staff induction, mandatory training, and clinical skills development. Facilitate practical and theoretical learning sessions, simulations, and workshops aligned with current best practices and organisational needs. Act as a mentor and clinical educator for nursing staff, students, and newly qualified nurses. Provide one-to-one and group support for staff undertaking training, apprenticeships, or return-to-practice programmes. Ensure educational content is evidence-based, aligned with national standards, and reflective of NMC professional requirements. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for learning across the clinical setting. Work collaboratively with clinical leads, department managers, and external education providers to support organisational training plans. Maintain accurate records of training, competency assessments, and staff development plans. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration. Significant experience in a clinical nursing role. Experience delivering clinical teaching or supporting learning in practice. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate training, assess competencies, and support reflective practice. Postgraduate teaching or education qualification (e.g., PGCert in Education, Mentorship, Practice Assessor).
