As a Guest Service Reception Assistant at The Holiday Inn Blackpool, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. You will provide exceptional customer service, handling check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries efficiently while upholding the highest standards of hospitality. Your role will involve coordinating with other departments to enhance the guest experience, managing reservations, and offering local knowledge to assist guests during their stay.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE GUEST SERVICES RECEPTION ASSISTANT AT THE HOLIDAY INN BLACKPOOL
* Greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, creating a positive first impression
* Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
* Provide information on hotel services, local attractions, and guest facilities, answering queries with confidence and professionalism
* Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, aiming to exceed expectations and ensure guest satisfaction
* Maintain accurate records and process payments securely, following hotel policies and procedures
* Anticipate guest needs and offer proactive assistance, enhancing the overall guest experience
* Actively seek feedback from guests and supervisors, using it to improve service standards where necessary
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Previous experience in a similar reception or front desk role (preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment) is desirable, but not essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with guests
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently
* Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
* Team player with a willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
* Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of service, ensuring accuracy in guest interactions
* Basic knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to assist guests with inquiries
* Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the business
