Working for our organisation
We are a team that prides itself on creative, innovative and evidence-based approaches to our work with service users and carers and value a supportive and reflective culture in the work environment. The team is embedded within the core CAMHS team which is one of four CAMHS teams in the Trust. Each CAMHS team is a large, dynamic and successful CAMHS service comprising a broad spectrum of disciplines and a long tradition of effective multidisciplinary and interagency working. Each of the four teams also has a specialist Children in Care Team.
Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an organisation that cares for their staff. There are various offers to encourage staff to look after their emotional wellbeing and mental health. The Trust has a staff app that lists discounts that staff have access to in the high street.
There is a monthly CPD training event offered to all CAMHS practitioners and an opportunity to attend case discussions and reflective practice. CPD and training are recognised as an important part of professional development and this is considered in a yearly appraisal.
