Nano Fibre UK are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor for the company to help support us as we scale in the Fibre Broadband industry. We are a fast growing company who is committed to offering the best customer service by our Fibre Broadband Engineers here in the UK. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to help and support us minimise risk and ensure compliance.
This role is flexibly located, with a mixture of field and office work.
Your role will be to work closely with management and our partners to develop and monitor policies and procedures to promote great occupational health and safety awareness to our engineers in the field and our office based colleagues. Your work will be focused on prevention so you need to be diligent and analytical. You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers. The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace and provide H&S support to all departments. You will spend a large amount of your time working in various offices and out in the field to support multiple departments within the company so it is ideal for a self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
Responsibilities
* Working with the CEO and senior management team to develop our health and safety strategy and associated safety management systems.
* Implementation of the safety management system and the development of policy and processes.
* Preparation and roll out of hazard assessments (Risk, COSHH, Noise etc).
* Review all areas of the business and identify areas for improvement.
* Manage the testing and servicing of company equipment.
* Maintain Health & Safety records.
* Development of statutory documents.
* Deliver Heath & Safety induction and training.
* Carry out incident investigations.
* Conduct field audits and reports.
* Champion continuous improvements to safety performance throughout the business.
Requirements
* An approachable, flexible and pro-active individual who all employees feel they can approach for assistance in any safety matter.
* Confidence in speaking with people and delivering training to groups.
* NEBOSH General certificate (essential).
* Member of IOSH (desirable).
* Ability to work independently on a project.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Understanding of utilities safety and the ability to identify hazards and suggest and implement suitable controls.
* The ability to liaise with multiple departments and comfortable working in various offices and out in the field.
* Willingness to undertake further training and study as required
* A full UK driving licence and own transport.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality on all matters.
Working hours
You will need to be flexible with your hours and use your time well to meet the needs of customers. This is a full-time role with a 40 hour working week but those hours may vary. This role will require regular travel around the UK but time will also be spent in the Bradford Office and our head office in Gilmorton, Leicestershire.
