Reed Brighton is excited to be working alongside an established law firm in East Sussex who are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Private Client Team. This is a fully office based, permanent and full-time position.
The Role:
* Processing audio dictation using BigHand
* Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
* File opening and closing.
* Drafting routine correspondence including client engagement letters
* Making and taking calls in a professional manner
* Diary management
* Liaising with clients and other third parties
* Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
* Create and maintain database Will, EPA and LPA records
* Handling of original Wills/Powers of Attorney
* Maintain Trust permanent folder
* Land Registry and Companies House searches
* File archiving
Skills needed:
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience of working as a Secretary in a legal environment
* Fast, accurate typing skills, including audio typing
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
* Methodical approach and good time management
* Excellent IT skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* Positivity and adaptability
