Job Description
We are looking to recruit an adaptable Senior User Experience Design Consultant who can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and deliver excellent results across Version 1’s customers, including both public and private sector clients.
You will be expected to lead design initiatives, guiding teams and clients through the design process to achieve optimal outcomes. You will be experienced in working with users and stakeholders to determine the best way to design products and services, considering both the end-to-end journey and individual design elements. Your portfolio will demonstrate your ability to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints in designs. You will be comfortable working with design systems and meeting relevant design standards. You will have strong consultancy skills and demonstrate your ability to communicate your design decisions effectively.

* You have experience in using, extending, and creating design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across products and services, aligned to customer branding.
Experience of Accessible/Inclusive Design
* You have a deep understanding of the key principles and standards for accessible/inclusive design and can communicate them effectively to ensure products and services comply with industry standards.
* You are skilled in incorporating inclusive design practices into your work, ensuring that your designs are usable by people with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
* You can collaborate with user researchers and other stakeholders to understand the diverse needs of users and incorporate their feedback into your designs to enhance accessibility and inclusivity.
Balancing Needs, Requirements, and Constraints
* You can undertake comprehensive research activities to understand the diverse needs, business requirements, and technical constraints that must be balanced in your design work.
* You can clearly explain design decisions in relation to user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints to gain buy-in from stakeholders and decision-makers.
* You can effectively collaborate with user researchers, business analysts, product managers, and developers to quickly deliver usable and accessible designs that meet the needs of all stakeholders.
