Datacenter Technician Job Responsibilities: Prepare, stage, set up, and manage the startup and shutdown of equipment (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) by following detailed instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails. Perform quality checks after execution to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in line with safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs). Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using standard procedures, quickly identify the root causes, and replace faulty components. Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) by following standard procedures with minimal supervision. Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to the appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads as per procedures. Requirements: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, within core business hours between 7 AM and 7 PM.
