Our client are looking for a Texture and Shader Supervisor to help on a project to convert their current CGI material library.
Responsibilities
• Managing and organising studio’s core material library
• Create and maintain a consistent library structure
• Creating new materials and textures based on various references
• Converting shaders between various software packages
• Modifying existing materials to improve their look
• Cooperating with other departments to make sure the material library is fulfilling their needs
Requirements
• Extensive experience in PBR material workflow
• Experience in creating textures in Substance and Photoshop
• Familiarity with multiple render engines and shader models – Vray and Material X are a must, any others a bonus
• Working knowledge of various 3d packages – Max, Maya, Houdini, Unreal etc.
• Being able to balance quality and time requirements when creating materials
• Good organisation and attention to details
Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to the Head of 3D Modelling and will work closely with all our global CGI teams.
