Company Description
Anvil Chambers is a small but well thought of set in Kent. We genuinely care about everyone who is connected to us - no politics here thank you!
Our cases, our clients, our reputation, and our people matter.
Family makes up the bulk of what we do. We also cover inheritance work, contested probate, and the full spectrum of civil.
Role Description
Due to an influx of work, and our (nearly two year old) venture doing far better than we could have hoped for, we are looking for another barrister to come aboard.
This is a great opportunity for the right person- someone who will support their colleagues, and take help if needed. If you would like to help us shape the future of chambers, there are opportunities for that. If you prefer to just do the work, that's fine.
If you want to work full-time, great. Part-time? No problem.
If you want to come into chambers regularly, the facilities are there. If you prefer to work from home because you like it or because you need to for family or personal reasons, that's okay too.
We respect the boundaries between personal and work lives. When we are at work, we are (mostly - it is still law, and everyone has a bad day!) happy. We get on with each other, and we all chip in.
We are interested in all levels of call and will offer training and support where needed. Our overheads are low, and we pass this onto our members.
If you would like to be part of a growing chambers with offices in beautiful, up and coming Folkestone, contact clerks@anvilchambers.co.uk in the first instance for a confidential discussion.
Person Description
We are more interested in finding the right person than a quick hire. So if you think you might fit in well here but are not quite ready to move just yet, we would still love to hear from you. Barristers with a current practising certificate only please. No recruiters/recruitment agencies.
