Who we are: Teens Unite is an energetic, dynamic, and ambitious, charity improving the lives of 13–24-year-olds during, and after cancer.
We’re not a medical charity, we don’t exist to cure cancer. We empower young people to live positively with cancer and thrive beyond it. We organise activities, programmes, and residential stays, which provide teenagers and young adults with the opportunity to enjoy new experiences, make friends, and live their life to the full.
In 2024 alone, our social content was viewed over 5.5million times, and we are on a mission to expand this reach further to gain support, raise awareness, and reach more young people who need us.
Who you are: You’re creative, adaptable, and passionate about digital storytelling. You’ll have a talent for capturing moments, engaging different audiences, and making content shine. If you live and breathe the latest social media trends, tools, and strategies, we’d love to hear from you.
The role: Social Media Manager
Reporting to: Brand & Communications Manager
Location: Broxbourne, Hertfordshire
Salary band: £24,000 - £28,000
What we need: A highly driven, energetic and creative force of nature, to fully manage the output of content and engagement across our social channels, primarily focusing on Tik Tok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
You’ll amplify our core values, personality, and mission within the content you produce, using our tone of voice and brand guidelines for consistency.
You’ll be confident conducting interviews with others to ensure there’s never a missed opportunity. You’ll feel comfortable creating content with our supporters and the young people we support.
Your role will include planning, capturing, editing, and scheduling content across multiple platforms, while leveraging every opportunity to grow Teens Unite’s profile. You’ll create a diverse range of engaging content, aimed at both the charity’s supporters, and the young people we need to connect with.
As you’ll know, social media is a 24/7 thing, but that’s not our expectation of you; you’ll just need to take a flexible approach to working. Our core working hours are 9-5, but we’re open to discussing this at interview stage.
