We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking professional, committed to delivering a superior customer experience to join our Trauma division as a Sales Associate. In this role you will develop the skills required to manage accounts within an existing sales territory and become responsible for the day to day running of key accounts by managing; stock issues, organising and carrying out regular customer training and learning to provide guidance on our product portfolio in a hospital theatre environment.
Key Activities & Accountabilities:
1. Gain an understanding of the Trauma portfolio to offer our customers an in depth understanding of our product range.
2. Once trained, provide product support to surgeons and theatre staff during Trauma procedures to help ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
3. Make observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker product and/or support.
4. Learn to record details of customers and maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives. Start to develop the skills needed to prioritise where to allocate time and resource and how to grow business.
5. Learn how to conduct price negotiations, produce sales quotations, manage contracts and provide added value propositions that maximise Stryker profitability.
6. Develop an understanding of the local healthcare environment. Understand the patient pathway through a hospital and the role we play in providing product for suitable treatment. Gain an appreciation for the main departments in hospitals and what interaction we have in those areas.
7. Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Creativity and Team Spirit.
What you need?
8. Science or business based educational background or equivalent experience/training
9. Working experience in or tailored to sales
10. A driven attitude, people focus and plenty of charisma
11. Computer skills, MS Office
12. Confident presentation skills
13. An interest in anatomy and physiology
14. Demonstrated high achiever who loves to learn and take on challenges
15. Ability to manage multiple customer relationships in a high pressure setting
16. A background that demonstrates an ability to engage with others, influence, motivate and work hard
17. A valid UK drivers license.
