The role
Based full-time in our Abingdon office, reporting to the Depot IT Asset Supervisor you will:
1. Image laptop devices from stock to be used for new starter and break-fix replacement laptop builds.
2. Configure laptop & desktops for standard company image and add relevant standard operating software.
3. Provide basic application support for users, to show how to use the software or specific functions where possible.
4. Liaise with the internal IT group to manage the ordering and distribution of office desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices for the office.
5. Maintain the asset register of IT equipment.
6. Setup, deploy, and maintain IT equipment using a standard imaging process.
7. Arrange safe disposal/recycling of old equipment following WEEE regulations.
8. Carry out other appropriate duties requested by management.
9. Provide initial configuration support on site or remote for new members of staff.
10. General IT administration.
11. Liaise with 3rd party support suppliers as and when required for hardware replacements.
12. User account and mailbox administration using Active Directory, Exchange Control Panel, and Active role server.
13. Communicate to office staff – including outages, updates, and crucial IT info.
14. Use Client Injector to deploy software to machines in Software Centre.
15. Use software repositories to manually add software to machines.
16. Contact colleagues to configure replacement machines for colleagues at remote locations/cloud offices.
17. Contact colleagues to arrange delivery of home working IT equipment.
18. Arrange with couriers the distribution of laptop devices and home working kit to offices or home addresses.
19. Review, update and complete tasks on IT ticket logging database.
What we are looking for
Although training will be provided, any exposure to any of the below would be a distinct advantage:

4. Self-motivated and able to support multiple products simultaneously.
5. Willingness to commute to other offices.
6. Assisting colleagues with their computer device systems, voice, and video conferencing equipment.
7. Providing computer support services both for software and hardware to a 1st/2nd level.
8. Maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed.
9. Ability to image and configure PCs and laptops to our specification.
10. Ensure that sound housekeeping principles are adhered to and that all networked PCs receive housekeeping on a regular basis.
11. Initiative and a can-do attitude.
