JOB TITLE: EQUIPMENT RESOURCE MANAGER ABOUT THE ROLE A BRIEF SUMMARY Reporting to the Head of Base Operations, the Equipment Resource Manager will lead a busy and business critical resources department, which ensures all jobs are sufficiently, and efficiently supplied with technical broadcast equipment as per Production requirements. WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Managing the Resources Department in implementing the day-to-day sourcing and allocation of equipment for outside broadcast events. Work closely with Production, Unit Managers and Engineering Leads to ensure work is adequately resourced. Ensure key assets are allocated to events based on margin analysis and client requirements. Liaise with EMG/Gravity Media at Group level concerning the allocation of resources. Manage relationships with key equipment rental suppliers. Lead resource planning for large events. Support commercial teams during RFP and quote processes. Provide effective line management to a small but vital resources coordination team. Lead the implementation of new business systems into the resources department. THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF · Proven in-depth knowledge of Outside Broadcasting and/or related media operations. · Strong planning, prioritising, and organisation skills Strong leadership, with some experience managing teams Ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales. · Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to provide successful outcomes. · Strong creativity and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills IN THIS MANAGEMENT ROLE WE’LL BE EXPECTING YOU TO · maintain a safe working environment for your teams by complying with all required Health & Safety procedures, and other management processes e.g. ISO standards; · be the first point of contact for your team for any queries, escalations, and feedback; · hold regular meetings with each member of your team to align on topics, direction, information sharing, create an opportunity for the team to be heard and sense of community; · regularly review workload across the team to ensure efficiency and balance; · provide feedback to your team to allow continued growth; · ensure new members to your team have a thorough onboarding process including regular review during probation (excludes onboarding provided by HR); · actively support the development of your team through action plans; · actively manage poor performance; · communicate and reinforce key business messages to your team, for example following Manager Meetings, Town Halls, email communications; · understand key Company policies/processes and help your team to understand; · be responsive to requests for information to colleagues and other departments; · ensure your team complete all mandatory training; · carry out an annual performance review with each member of your team; · take any necessary steps to ensure that individuals are not subjected to harassment, sexual harassment, or bullying; · manage day to day spend in line with company objectives, direction and in the interests of the company.
