Operating in a hybrid capacity from our Bicester and or Guildford/Warwick offices, this pivotal role will have the rare opportunity to shape a new vehicle product from an innovative brand. What you will do We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Product Manager to join the rapidly growing Product team. Reporting to the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the business case and full product lifecycle management of a new electric vehicle product. You will lead product positioning, define product attribute targets and curate the supporting product features and offer definition. You will also support the go-to-market strategy and key strategic marketing messages to ensure a successful product launch. In this role, you will represent the voice of the target customer within the business and maintain the single source of the truth for the product definition. Work with the Product Development teams to develop the product attribute/content positioning; managing trade-offs to achieve best product fit for customer / brand / financials. ·Own and develop the product lifecycle to optimise offer, competitiveness and Forseven business case contribution; including bodystyles, powertrain strategy, variants and special editions strategy, trim walks, features, options, accessories and colour & trim strategy. Lead the change control and documentation of product direction documents. Develop Accessories and personalisation content strategies. ·Work with Product Pricing to develop price and take rate assumptions to feed the business cases for all Trims, Options & Accessories Drive the product direction sign-off through development and delivery of compelling presentations and product proposals to the Senior Leadership team. Working closely with the Product Strategy, Engineering and Finance teams, refine the business case for all product programmes, options and accessories, managing unit economic costs, model and market mix, overall programme investment and resultant profit and pay back periods. Through continuous monitoring of the vehicle sales performance across all markets, develop MY strategies which enhance and optimise the customer offer throughout the lifecycle, maximising the bottom line. Support development of key customer facing strategic product messaging, including target audience specific USPs, Why-Buys and Sales arguments and translate these into appropriate and compelling marketing assets. Support development of Product Guide assets to provide complete product information to the wider business in support of Product launch and go-to-market activities, arming the sales and marketing teams with the knowledge to deliver planned sales targets. Ensure correct representation of the customer offer, product messaging and product technical data in all marketing collateral, across all markets (e.g. Configurator, Brochure, Website, Price Lists, etc). Support the Sales and Marketing teams in the development of Retail product training materials development. Work closely with the wider Commercial Heads to develop an integrated launch timeline and vehicle asset strategy which supports the needs of all MarComms launch activities with prototype vehicles. Ensure appropriate prototype vehicle specifications are agreed and submitted, work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure all vehicles are delivered to the appropriate quality and maturity, ready for customer / media facing activities (rework projects may be required) We would like you to have: A proactive and ambitious approach; highly motivated and desiring accountability An open and transparent communication style with the ability to build influential relationships at all levels of the business A sincere responsibility for personal development and a genuine passion to develop extensive relevant product knowledge Proven cross-functional automotive OEM product development experience. ·Direct experience of working in a fast-paced startup environment or be able to demonstrate that you can thrive in a less-structured adaptable setting An in-depth understanding and experience of product pricing, value indexing and options analysis. Qualification in (degree or higher) ideally in Engineering, Product Design, Business or Marketing or equivalent experience PC systems literacy – highly competent with Microsoft Office and a familiarity with JIRA/Confluence and MIRO tools.
