Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Claims Team Leader to lead and inspire a team consisting of Clerks to achieve all set business objectives and KPI’s in relation to the processing of loss and damage claims.You will manage customer interactions via telephone and email ensuring our customers expectations are always appropriately met. You will be expected to liaise with various internal departments in relation to the above, such as customer services, customer relationship management and Finance to ensure all business requirements are met.Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility● To validate new claim requests against clearly defined policies and issue claims forms to our customers where appropriate● To validate completed customer claim forms against clearly defined policies to establish if DPD are liable for loss and damage in transit issuing settlement or rejecting where appropriate● Manage inbound calls and email relating to loss and damage claims ensuring our customers expectations are always appropriately met● Manage inbound calls and email relating to all of the above areas ensuring our customers expectations are always appropriately met● Ensure all tasks are completed with agreed timescales ensuring all defined quality standards are met.● Complete quarterly performance and potential reviews with direct reports● Take any relevant action to address any breach of company policies or procedures Qualifications: About YouYou will have proven ability to lead and motivate a team of people to achieve challenging departmental KPIsYou will have proven and demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced customer service environmentYou will have strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and the ability to build a quick rapport with the customerYou will be polite and professional at all times and have a willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed customer expectationsAbility to work as a team player and on your own initiativeExcellent administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office / Google programmesDemonstrate high levels of self-motivation and initiative to effectively problem solve.You will be highly vigilant to any unscrupulous activity taking swift and appropriate action when required.Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability.
