Exciting opportunity for a part-time Supply Chain Administrator/Stock Handler, based in Nottingham, with earnings starting at £14,500 per annum, based on working a 22-hour week.
We currently have a vacancy for a part-time Supply Chain Administrator / Stock Handler to join our operations department, working 22 hours per week. The role is essential to the efficient running of our stem cell and genomics laboratories by ensuring all required consumables and reagents are available for collection, processing, and testing of our clients' samples.
At Future Health Biobank, we are passionate about protecting the future health of children. Our focus is in two main areas: stem cell banking and genomics.
We have been established for over 20 years and fully believe in the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offer three core services for stem cell banking: umbilical cord blood, tissue, and dental pulp. We have also recently invested in opening a new Genomics Laboratory that hosts our genomic screening services, serving clients both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receiving, unpacking, inspecting, and storing stock deliveries.
* Documenting receipt of stock into inventory, ensuring all products meet quality control.
* Obtaining supplier certificates of sterility, analysis, or conformance before release of stock from quarantine.
* Ensuring laboratory stock is maintained above minimum stock levels by monitoring products that need restocking.
* Tracking order shipments, coordinating with suppliers, and addressing any delays, outstanding items, and damaged goods.
Experience:
* Previous experience within a stock management environment is essential.
* Previous experience within a regulated, scientific laboratory is preferred.
Key Skills:
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Terms & Benefits:
* 22 hours per week (during office hours, Monday to Friday).
* Starting salary of £14,500 per annum.
