Role: Senior Fire Surveyor

Salary: £50k - £70k
Role Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious and eager individual with experience in external walls or with EWS1 forms or FRAEWs to join our client's team as a Senior Fire Surveyor, based in Belfast. The role highly involves developing different surveys and assessments for RIBA Stage 5 projects, cladding remedial work projects, EWS1 appointments, and condition surveys for residential and commercial buildings. You will need to have knowledge of fire safety design and guidance for different types of buildings, as well as be confident in your regulatory process knowledge. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about furthering their career in the fire engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize your expertise in external walls or experience with EWS1 forms or FRAEWs to conduct thorough inspections of buildings, focusing on fire safety measures and compliance with regulations.
2. Project management - you will need to look after all aspects of the projects.
3. Prepare detailed reports, outlining findings and recommendations for improving fire safety.
4. Provide expert technical advice and guidance to clients, maintaining good relationships.
5. Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
6. Provide mentoring and training to younger staff.
7. Demonstrate eagerness and ambition to pursue further education and training.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a relevant field (e.g., Fire Engineering, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering).
2. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in building control, fire safety, or a related field, with a focus on external walls or experience with EWS1 forms or FRAEWs.
3. Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
4. Strong knowledge of building regulations and fire safety standards.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Team-player.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
