Site Supervisor
Salary – £30,414 to £38,018 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 37.5 hours per week, 06:45am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday

As a Site Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for:
1. The health and safety of staff, contractors to site, and visitors to site.
2. The minimisation of impact to the environment whilst working within the site.
3. Delivering customer expectations in terms of service and product quality.
4. Operating the site in an efficient and effective manner in line with the annual budget.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week; however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
1. Assist the Site Manager in controlling and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the site in accordance with management instructions, health & safety, and legislative requirements.
2. Be aware of, and conversant with, the relevant details of the Permit, Working Plan, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, emergency procedures, and other relevant health, safety & environmental documents.
3. Protect the Company’s ability to trade by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation at all times, especially concerning health and safety in the workplace and the ‘Duty of Care’.
4. Manage plant and resources, including operatives, to optimize the safe and productive operation of the facility.
5. Train and mentor site operatives and deal with performance and disciplinary issues under the guidance of the Site Manager.
6. Work in accordance with staff rosters and provide cover for planned/unplanned absence.
7. Operate mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
8. Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained as specified and the appropriate records are completed.
9. Supervise the safe and effective operation and maintenance of mobile plant.
10. Operate the weighbridge systems in accordance with the Duty of Care regulations, waste management license, and Group policies & procedures, and maintain reliable, adequate, and accurate records thereof.
11. Be courteous to customers and provide exemplary customer service.
12. Assist customers wherever it is safe and practical.
13. Report to the Site Manager any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice, or corruption by any visitor to the site or member of staff.
14. Oversee the tipping operation, including safe traffic and pedestrian management, housekeeping, minimization of turnaround times, site compliance, control of contractors, and oversee restoration of the site where required.
15. Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by FCC management, including working at other sites.
16. Keep daily performance records of activities on site.
17. Assist in budgetary control of site operations including temporary labour, plant & equipment, hire of plant & equipment, and leachate R+M.
