A very well respected Tier 2 contractor which works within the Industrial, Health-care, Education and Commercial sector.
The role:
Reporting directly into a visiting Contracts Manager, the role of a Site Manager requires you to have knowledge of:
1. Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
2. Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors
3. Buying materials for each phase of the project
4. Monitoring build costs and project progress
5. Conducting quality and safety inspections
6. Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
7. Maintaining quality control checks
8. Motivating the workforce
9. Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
10. Using specialist project management computer programmes
11. Working on-site in all weathers, at client's businesses or in a site office.
About you:
Ideally from a degree background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem-solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
