We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join the team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C male prison on the outskirts of Lancaster. HMP Lancaster Farms has an operational capacity of around 550, and has good transport links from the motorway, and is close to public transport routes.
This is a fantastic new opportunity to join the healthcare team on site, ensuring that patients receive the best quality care, and the healthcare team are fully supported.
Hours: This is a full-time role, working hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of between £24,924 - £27,582 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Porter, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
1. Provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitors and contractors into and around the prison
2. Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face
3. Carry out basic admin tasks, including answering calls, scanning, delivering post etc.
4. Deliver a tidy healthcare area, monitoring and ordering stock as necessary, paying attention to expiry dates and cost of equipment
5. Work with the admin team to ensure paperwork is collected from the wings, as well as assisting the pharmacy in the transporting of medication
