The main speciality groupings at the LRI are Acute Medical, Surgery, Paediatrics, Cancer Services, Theatres & Critical Care, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Accident & Emergency and Orthopaedic Trauma. The LRI has a £43 Million Emergency Department containing 3 Wireless DR rooms and 2 CT Scanners. We also have newly refurbished departments for in-patients, paediatrics, out-patients and screening. Our LRI radiographers rotate around all areas of Plain Film and also cross-site to the departments at LGH and GH and we have an established roster system for nights and weekend duties and the opportunity to observe CT imaging alongside the cross sectional team. There will be the opportunity to observe and work with the cross sectional staff in CT imaging in the inpatient and outpatient department.
