A well-established law firm is seeking an HR professional to join its team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain broader exposure within HR, offering greater scope and responsibility while working closely with the HR Manager.
About the Role This is a fast-paced and varied role, ideal for an experienced HR Administrator/Assistant eager to progress in a professional services environment. You will play a key part in delivering effective HR support across recruitment, employee lifecycle processes, compliance, payroll, and engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 HR Administration – Drafting contracts and employment documents, maintaining HR records, and managing HR inbox queries.
🔹 Recruitment Support – Coordinating recruitment processes, liaising with agencies, and supporting graduate recruitment schemes.
🔹 Employee Lifecycle Management – Handling onboarding, performance reviews, promotions, training requests, and offboarding processes.
🔹 Employee Relations – Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, supporting engagement initiatives, and assisting with employee relations cases.
🔹 Payroll & Benefits Administration – Providing payroll data, managing benefits, and handling employee queries.
🔹 Compliance & Policy Support – Ensuring HR policies align with legal and industry best practices, supporting compliance audits.
About You
CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it).
Previous experience in an HR Assistant or Administrator role within a legal or professional services firm is preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive matters professionally.
High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
