Interesting Projects : You will be instrumental in developing the next generation of high-tech electro-mechanical products while working to reduce costs and make improvements to existing ones.
Hybrid working: You can work in a hybrid manner with 3 days on-site and 2 days working remotely/from home.
You can play a lead role in supporting the technical director in modernising and improving the engineering function.
Early Fridays: You will leave work at 1:30 pm on a Friday, giving you time to pick the children up from school, squeeze in a round of golf, use the gym (you will benefit from subsidised membership), spend time on your own personal projects, or just relax!
Leading the design and development of analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuits for various applications (including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout to meet objectives).
Integrating electronic subsystems into larger systems, ensuring compatibility, optimal performance and compliance with standards.
Troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues, from hardware to software interfaces.
Developing electronic designs using circuit simulation and physical prototypes.
Leading electronics design projects and providing technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers.
Managing project timelines, ensuring that design milestones are met.
Recommending and implementing improvements to design processes, tools and techniques to enhance efficiency, product quality and innovation.
Working closely with other departments and disciplines within the engineering team
Identifying and assessing technical risks associated with designs and proposing mitigation strategies.
Ensuring products meet all regulatory and safety standards.
Experience as a lead electronics design engineer, senior electronics design engineer or sole electronics design engineer, with a history of successful product development.
Experience with electronic design packages for PCB design and schematic capture; Recognised as a genuine market leader in their sector, supporting blue chip clients, including some of the UK's best-known brands and many FTSE and Fortune 500 companies. A salary of £55,000-£60,000 (dependent on experience), private medical, 5% pension contribution, subsidised gym membership, 25 days holiday plus the bank holidays.
Monday to Thursday, 8 am-4:30 pm, and Frida,y 8 am-1:30 pm, although there is some flexibility to work slightly different hours if that suits you better. You can work in a hybrid fashion with 3 days on-site and 2 days working from home.
