Job overview
We welcome applications from Trainee Pharmacy Technicians completing their qualification this year. Entry level will be at a Band 4 (unless already Band 5) - previous experience, qualification and accreditations will be considered. Candidates will be regraded to Band 5 once in-house progression programme is completed.
We are offering an opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to join our Ward Based Pharmacy Team. This essential role provides the opportunity for committed Pharmacy Technicians to put their skills into practice within the MDT team, whilst also continuing to build further skills. You will participate in the medicines reconciliation process, supply of medication during Inpatient stay, support effective and timely discharge and patient counselling.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated registered Pharmacy Technician with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy in all aspects of technical pharmacy. Successful applicants will form an integral part of a dynamic team, pushing the boundaries of effective and efficient patient care. Candidates should have strong communication skills, with a willingness to learn and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care.
For this role you will need to be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC or working towards being registered in the next 6 months.

Qualifications
* Registered with the GPHc as a pharmacy technician or about to be qualified in next 6 months
Experience
* Minimum two years post qualification experience in pharmacy
* Experience of undertaking medicines reconciliation and resolving any issues
* Previous hospital experience
Skills
* Sound Knowledge of Pharmacy technical processes
* Knowledge of the changing NHS environment and how that affects Pharmacy
* Proven ability to be able to influence a team and its outcomes
