Job Purpose: To act in the capacity of a Cable Jointer Mate to support the Jointer (craftsman) with electrical installations. Assist in coordination of electrical works to ensure full compliance with DNO & Ipsum Powers Policies and Procedures. Principal Accountabilities: The role is to support the cable jointer. Supporting the work on development sites and the public highway. Understanding utility plans. Assisting with the cable jointing. Assistance with Connections to substations. Preparation and correct use of tools and machinery. Carry out works in line with established safety procedures. Supporting the completion of risk assessments and maintain safe working practice and maintaining accurate records. Required Qualifications & Professional Membership(s): Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card. Hold a valid First Aid qualification. DNO operational Authorisation (UKPN, preferred). Knowledge & Experience: A good understanding of sustainability and health and safety. Be Conversant with testing procedures. A clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel and work in different locations. You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather. Knowledge of relevant DNO Policies and Procedures.
