Project Manager/Draughtsman required for a market leading Air filtration/Ducting company committed to supporting their customers in providing effective solutions for air pollution control issues. They can offer an excellent opportunity to join a skilled, committed and growing team, where you will play an integral part working on varied technical projects. The Project Manager role would suit candidates from an engineering/construction background, possibly having worked with Clean Air filtration systems. Any experience within the equipment associated with air filtration industry would be advantageous but is not essential as on the job training will be given to close any product & process knowledge gaps.
You will truly take ownership of the projects worked on and will be involved in all aspects of a project, starting at order placement, and working through to final handover to the client.
The Project Manager Role:
1. Taking handovers of new projects from the Sales team.
2. Drawing and supplying the relevant system drawings before installation.
3. Agreeing design and specification before installation.
4. Instructing the Production Manager of required materials and equipment.
5. Production and monitoring of project programmes.
6. Cost management/margin uplift where possible.
7. Assist in closing off jobs on the ERP system.
8. Management of internal resources.
9. Liaison with the installation Contracts Manager and inhouse labour force on installations.
10. Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
11. Handle multiple projects from handover to completion in Air Pollution Control, typically involving new Dust and Fume Extraction systems, Weld fume systems with fan exhausts with a typical order value £5,000 to £300,000.
12. Liaising with clients to establish accurate installation time frames.
13. Working out of the office based in Frome possibly with some remote working.
Candidate Overview:
1. Project engineering experience.
2. Technical Drawing use of CAD a must.
3. Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
4. Experience of managing projects.
5. Must have a flexible can-do attitude and be able to work closely within a small but dedicated team.
