Main duties of the job
As Lottery Sales andMarketing Lead, you will take the lead in devising and delivering key salesactions to grow the lottery income for Willowbrook Hospice.
Working within a strongand supportive fundraising team, you will research and identify opportunities toincrease our lottery membership through forging new and successful relationships.You will utilise your exceptional sales skills to engage with corporate andindividuals amongst our community of supporters to drive up our active lotterymembership.

Willowbrook Hospice is a purpose built independent hospice opened in 1997. It is an adult hospice caring for patients with specialist palliative care needs, serving the community of St Helens and Knowsley. It was built with the support of local people. The Hospice works to improve the lives of people who have a life-limiting or terminal illness, helping them to live well before they die.
Willowbrook Hospice not only takes care of peoples physical needs but looks after their emotional, spiritual and social needs as well. It also supports carers, family members and close friends, both during a persons illness and in bereavement.

The Charity Lottery Sales and Marketing Lead isresponsible for delivering effective marketing and promotion activities todrive the sales performance of the Willowbrook Hospice Lottery within ourcommunity.
This role is focused on devising and implementingsales strategies to grow Lottery entries, whilst ensuring compliance with allregulatory requirements.
KeyResponsibilities:
SalesStrategy Development:
Developand implement sales strategies and actions to maximise revenue growth through increasingsales
Analysemarket trends and customer preferences to inform strategy and sales tactics.
CustomerRelations:
Maintainan active presence in the local community to promote and sell the lottery togroups, businesses and local people. This includes attending workplaces,community groups and both Willowbrook and community fundraiser events.
Buildand maintain strong relationships with lottery players, ensuring high levels ofsatisfaction and engagement.
SalesOperations:
Monitorand analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Coordinatewith the fundraising team to develop promotional materials and campaigns thatdrive sales.
Ensureall sales activities comply with lottery regulations and company policies.
Promotenew Lottery sign ups within our community area.
Reportingand Analysis:
Prepareregular sales reports for the executive leadership and trustee committees,detailing performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Usedata and analytics to provide insights and recommendations for improving salesperformance.
Complianceand Regulations:
Ensureall sales activities adhere to lottery and gambling regulations and all laws.
Stayupdated on changes in lottery laws and regulations and ensure the team isinformed and compliant.
LotteryManagement:
Providetraining to colleagues staff and volunteers in relation to selling Lotteryproducts.
Budget Management:
Managethe sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet salestargets.
Monitorexpenses and optimize spending to achieve financial objectives.
Experience:
Minimumof 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in Charity Lotteries,fundraising, retail or the consumer goods industry.
Skills:
Strongleadership and team management skills.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficientin data analysis and sales forecasting.
Abilityto develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Knowledgeof lottery products and regulations is essential.
Flexibility:
Thisposition requires travel within the local area.
TheLottery Sales and Marketing Lead must be able to work flexible hours with occasionalrequirements to work evenings and weekends, as required, to effectively promoteand grow the Willowbrook Hospice Lottery via devising and delivering a range ofpromotional and awareness activities. This will include the use of winnerstories to increase active membership growth.
TheLottery Sales and Marketing Lead will ensure the administrative functions arecompleted correctly to run the lottery in the absence of the Donations andLottery Lead. Training will be provided to support this requirement.
Rolespecific activities:
Liaisewith the Donations and Lottery Lead to support the process for ensuring allnewly signed up entries are included at time of sign-up.
UtiliseWillowbrooks lottery CRM database Donorflex, producing relevant data reportswith analysis, extracting data as required for direct marketing appeals, developmentof supporter contacts and campaign planning and evaluations.
Developand deliver an effective lottery donor management plan.
Assistthe Head of Fundraising to drive improvement and innovation of supporterengagement to maximise lottery income generation.
Meetagreed targets and KPIs.
Maintainaccurate and timely records as required.
Ensureall records and contact details are kept up to date and ensure compliance withdata protection legislation (GDPR).
Collate,analyse, and present statistical information as required.

Supportgeneral office efficiency when on site: take phone calls, take messages, anddeal with supporter queries as required.
Assistin responding to routine correspondence and preparing mail shots.
Beflexible in approach and support fundraising events as and when required.

Attendand comply with mandatory training requirements plus any other training asdeemed appropriate.
