Sacco Mann are recruiting for a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor (NQ to 5 PQE) to join a leading catastrophic injury team in Newcastle. The role would suit a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor within 1 year of qualification up to 5 years' post qualification, who have previous experience supporting on catastrophic injury cases valued in the region of £300k to £1million. Our Client is a leading national law firm, with several offices across the UK. The team act on behalf of a range of insurer clients on personal injury cases valued up to and in excess of £1million. Due to an influx of work, the team are now looking to recruit an additional Solicitor to support one of the lead Solicitors on a catastrophic injury caseload to include brain and spinal injury and amputation cases. Responsibilities: Supporting on a caseload of catastrophic injury cases, to include brain and spinal injury and amputation cases valued up to £1million plus. Being the point of contact for incoming client queries and providing ongoing legal advice. Analysing liability evidence and identifying gaps. Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements. Corresponding with clients and third parties throughout the process. Drafting pleadings, applications and legal documentation. Instructing counsel and attending conferences. Preparing cases for trial. Negotiating settlement. Requirements: A qualified Solicitor ideally in the region of 1-5 years' PQE though NQs with previous catastrophic injury experience will also be considered. Technically excellent, with strong knowledge of relevant case law and legal procedures. A clear and concise communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
