Summary and purpose of role:
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The Buying Assistant for Women’s Designer is an essential support to the Buyer. They efficiently administrate and track the Women’s Designer orders, deliveries, and invoices, helping to manage the most appropriate products that will achieve or exceed the sales, sell through and margin targets.
Based at our Head office in Parsons Green, this position is ideal for someone who has a keen interest in luxury fashion, and is analytical, numerical, highly organised, and wishes to pursue a career in luxury fashion buying.
This role works closely with Retail Merchandising, Commercial Retail, Finance, Logistics, and external vendors to bring exciting and relevant products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Buying
1. Support the Buyer with data and information required for Market
2. Check and confirm all order confirmations as soon as the orders are placed
3. Request, collect and manage all product information needed as soon as the Market is completed
4. Accurately input all order information into each season’s Range Plan
5. Create the season’s purchase orders within a tight deadline
6. Help to organise in-store brand training
7. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
Stock Management
1. Efficiently manage, track, and report the weekly deliveries to ensure all stock is received within the agreed timeframe
2. Manage and track incoming invoices and payments with the Finance Team
3. Administrate any reorders, swaps or RTV’s
4. Obtain vendor information required for markdown and carryover proposals
5. Work closely with the Retail team to manage any customer requests or stock issues

Knowledge, skills, and competencies:
1. Relevant Degree, preferably in Buying and Merchandising
2. Experience in a Buying Department, ideally within a luxury or premium retail environment
3. Strong organisational skills
4. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with data
5. Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
6. Passionate about our brands and motivated to learn about our customer
7. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
