We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Corporate Consulting to join our ever growing PIB Employee benefits team.
The Head of Corporate Consulting is responsible for providing leadership to the Corporate Consulting Team, which typically serves mid-to-large corporate clients. This role oversees the team’s delivery of consultancy services related to Group Risk, Healthcare, Pensions, and other employee benefits as well as consultancy around our employee benefit portal.
You will also ensure the successful execution of the corporate proposition, manages operational processes, and oversees the team’s financial performance. Additionally, this role includes direct management of a select portfolio of corporate clients. The position plays a pivotal role in aligning the corporate client strategy with the broader business objectives, driving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Team Leadership & Management:
Strategic leadership: Lead the Corporate Consulting Team, setting clear objectives, aligning team goals with business strategy, and ensuring high performance across the board.
Resource allocation: Monitor team capacity and workflows.
Process supervision: Ensure the team adheres to regulatory requirements and internal compliance procedures.
Strategic & Operational Oversight:
Proposition development: Oversee the ongoing development and enhancement of the corporate client proposition.
Operational efficiency: Refine and optimise the operational framework for corporate consultancy.
Financial performance: Track the team’s financial performance, ensuring consultants meet income targets. Regularly review forecasts, pipelines, and revenue against budget to identify potential underperformance and address it proactively.
Client & Account Management:
Client retention: Personally manage a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering expert consultancy on Group Risk, Healthcare, Pensions, and broader employee benefits including our employee benefits portal.
Strategic consulting: Act as a trusted advisor to corporate clients, providing strategic guidance on their employee benefit arrangements.
Renewals and reviews: Oversee scheme renewals and rate reviews. Prepare and present recommendation reports and market comparisons.
Relationship management: Build and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients and insurance providers.
Escalation and Senior Representation: Act as an escalation point for clients managed by consultants within the team, providing resolution for complex issues and ensuring client satisfaction. Represent the senior leadership team in meetings with key accounts or prospects.
Training and development: Develop and oversee a robust training framework for the Corporate Consulting Team.
Onboarding: Support the recruitment and onboarding of new consultants.
Continuous development: Regularly assess the performance of team members.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Projects:
Business collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales, Client Support, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery, alignment of strategies, and cross-functional support for client needs.
New business allocation: Work with Principal Consultants to allocate new business enquiries to consultants.
Strategic initiatives: Contribute to key business initiatives, including proposition development, operational improvements, compliance initiatives, and business planning in collaboration with senior management.
Management Reporting:
Executive Reporting & Insights: Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to the executive team, delivering key data, management information (MI), and insights that support strategic decision-making. Maintain a close understanding of relevant data and performance metrics, proactively identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Financial reporting: Generate regular management information reports on team performance.
Client performance: Track and report on key client metrics.
