Role: Senior Support Worker - Residential Childcare

Salary: £13.44 - £14.46 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including sleep-ins)

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring Safety and Well-being: Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, addressing the care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs of each young person.
* Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and support junior staff members to deliver consistent, high-quality care, in line with the Home's standards and Statement of Purpose.
* Operational Support: Assist the management team in adhering to policies, procedures, and record-keeping protocols, ensuring resources are used effectively.
* Shift Management: Cover various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-ins, and participate in residential trips as required.
* Liaison and Advocacy: Work closely with senior management, local authorities, schools, healthcare professionals, and other external parties to advocate for and promote the welfare of the young people.
* Cultural Promotion: Foster an inclusive workplace culture that values every team member's contribution and actively challenges discrimination.
* Confidentiality: Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience: Previous experience in children's residential care settings or similar environments.
* Leadership: Demonstrable experience in leading shifts or teams.
* Qualifications: Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required for senior roles.
* Commitment: Ability to work full-time, including sleep-ins, and participate in residential trips.
* Driving: Must hold a valid manual vehicle driving license.
