DN Colleges are recruiting a Safeguarding Caseworker to support students and apprentices within the context of Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Prevent. You will act as a central point of contact for internal and external individuals and agencies, providing advice, support, and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Students and Apprentices: Provide support across the college community in line with Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Prevent legislation.
2. Manage Referrals: Handle referrals to external services as required and maintain accurate records.
3. Collaborate with Agencies: Attend and contribute to external agency meetings and work with local safeguarding partnerships.
4. Training and Development: Support and deliver CPD within the context of Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Prevent. Participate in personal development and training.
Essential Criteria:
5. Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent, or significant recent experience specific to the role.
6. Experience: Working in an educational setting or similar position, maintaining accurate records, and managing complex referrals.
7. Skills: Proficient in Office 365, understanding of statutory agencies’ roles, and knowledge of local and national services for safeguarding.
8. Personal Qualities: Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to student success, ability to work autonomously, and commitment to continuous professional development.

Lets Teach Programme
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
