Job summary Applications are invited for Junior Clinical Fellow post on a fixed term contract in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We are looking for dynamic individuals who have completed their Foundation Programme training. Main duties of the job Emergency work including initial assessment and investigation of patients who attend labour ward, the maternity outpatient assessment unit and the early pregnancy assessment unit. Assistant in obstetric emergencies and in general gynaecology theatres including the day case surgery. Outpatient work including antenatal, gynaecological and postmenopausal clinics. You should also be able to attend ultrasound clinics and some clinics in other specialties such as urogynaecology, genitor-urinary medicine and genetics. Participation in ward rounds, documentation of findings and discussions. Review of inpatients on a daily basis and discussion with senior doctor. Attend handover meetings when on call for obstetrics or gynaecology (0830; 1300 and 1700 hours). Documentation and communication of outstanding issues. Maintain accurate clinical records and communication with other healthcare professionals. Complying with the Department's clinical protocols linked to the Health Board and National Risk Management Procedures, RCOG and NICE guidelines.
