The Robotic Application Engineers work to ensure the installation & commissioning for automation solutions (AGV, AMR & KION automated systems). Planning, installation, commissioning and customer handover/sign off for automation solutions with driverless transport systems (AGVs). Provide technical support to the aftersales department, undertake change requests and on site error analysis. What we offer: Installation, commissioning, and internal/external acceptance of driverless systems at customer site Adjustment of the AGV routes and parameters Coding to implement the system in line with documentation provided from Project Managers (PM) Testing and validating the overall solution and certifying conformity Strong involvement in Risk assessment & Impact assessment with PM before final submission to customer Project coordination and reporting in conjunction with Project Management team ensuring each project is a success, both technically and financially Facilitating controlled AGV demonstrations at Linde Material Handling (LMH) locations or on customer sites Undertaking proof of concept (PoC) configuration automation solutions with AGVs within a customer’s operation Performing training for end customers Supporting the LMH service organisation as a technical specialist consultant – on site, via telecoms/digital platform & via remote diagnosis Assessing and implementing damage analyses at the customer site and/or in-house Coordination of possible root cause(s) of failure with our automation partners and achieving fastest possible issue resolution for our customers Follow up KPI onsite (errors, availability, pallet/h performance, etc.) with recommendation of action plan Pre and post sale application and system support In your role a full certification is required. It is mandatory that you pass all the trainings and internal certifications when required by your line manager. Tasks and Qualifications: Programming language qualification and/or demonstrable experience in KIWI, C, C++, MATLAB, or Python ESSENTIAL Completed vocational training in mechatronics or electronics or completed a Bachelors degree (Electrical engineering, mechatronics or computer science) Basic knowledge of complex industrial projects (Industrial Robotics, Automotive, Aeronautics) Desire to travel extensively across the UK&I (primarily), plus Europe (up to 80% peak travel time) Experience in commissioning of complex plants/systems would be an advantage Ability to represent the company in front of the customer Fluent spoken & written English language skills essential Interest in software development or programming Strong problem-solving skills Self-motivation Good listening skill Attention to detail Full driving license
