Job summary The IT Engineer will provide a proficient IM & T support services across the customer base. The post holder will be involved in the installation, configuration and maintenance of end user equipment, systems and software, and assisting with local data centre and communications technology requirements. Duties will also include being involved in testing and supporting deployment activities that require IT engineering resource. The IT Engineer will have diagnostic and fault finding knowledge/skills and a broad range of IT knowledge and is required to work remotely and in the field as required. The IT Engineer role will provide a proficient IM & T support service across the customer base. The role being advertised is to cover the any locality across Greater Manchester, based on business requirements. Applicants must also be a Regular Car user and be expected to visit customer locations on a regular basis. The IT Engineer will communicate at many business levels including General Practice, Clinical Commissioning Groups and 3rd Parties with agreed Service Level Agreements. Relationships with Suppliers and customers will be a day to day theme and also creating good working relationships with IM&T colleagues with excellent collaboration needed with other support teams.
