Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Bradford, up to £40k
Plant equipment manufacturers in the Bradford area seek an Electrical Design Engineer to produce drawings and designs for standard and bespoke equipment. We are interested in hearing from junior to experienced engineers and are able to consider electricians looking for a move into an office-based role as long as you have confident experience in 2D AutoCAD skills.
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
1. Produce block cable diagrams and single-line diagrams
2. Check control panel schematics
3. Design control panels when required
4. Undertake electrical calculations
5. Assist in the production of control philosophies
6. Produce effective BOMs for parts ordering from the electrical design
7. Assist Mechanical Design Engineers with electrical input into designs
8. Handle electrical aspects of P & ID drawings
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you should:
1. Hold a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification
2. Have confident 2D AutoCAD experience
3. Ideally have some P & ID knowledge and understanding
4. Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. Be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
6. Able to work to deadlines
